You begin your installation by plugging in the 12-volt power cord into the side of the monitor, putting it into program mode by holding down the Program button for approximately 5 seconds, until this light, lights up solid green. Now it's indicating that you need to install the sensor on the left front tire. We'll do that now. This is your sensor, as it's referred to in the installation manual. We're now going to install the sensor by simply removing the dust cap, and screwing on the sensor. You'll hear a release of air, and simply hand-tighten it from there. Now, with the sensor installed, you should be reading a pressure. You want to simply lock in that wheel position by holding down the Program button till it jumps to the next wheel position, as indicated, Then you'll repeat the process. During the programming process, should you come to any wheel position you do not desire to use, simply skip past that position by using the UP or DOWN arrow key to select the next wheel position you want to install a sensor to. After installing the last sensor and holding down the program button to lock in that wheel position, you'll want to take your monitor out of program mode by simply tapping the set button. This will complete your programming. The final step to complete your installation will be to find an appropriate mounting location for your monitor, route your cables to that location, and then attach the monitor. We have chosen visor clips for this installation, so, simply mount the monitor, reattach your power cord and you're ready to go.

The average cost for a TPMS sensor replacement is between $412 and $1,976. The tire pressure monitor system (TPMS) sensors are in a vulnerable position and they can fail as a result of normal driving over bumpy roads. Can I replace a Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor myself?
